Ok so Jesus. The one we hear the most about. Is He God? Human? A good teacher? What? Well, the way I want to take this on is to break down the Nicene creed statement about Him. If you don’t know what that is go watch the video “What Christians Believe”
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary and was made man.
Let’s break it down really quick
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Here’s what they are saying. Jesus is GOD. He is of God. From God. Not created because he has no beginning or ending because he is God. He’s the same thing the father is so there’s no difference between Him and the Father. It’s hard to explain because it’s God and God is beyond our ability to comprehend but know This. JESUS. IS. GOD. Jesus said, “If you’ve seen me, You’ve seen the father.” John 14:9
Through him, all things were made.
Jesus was a part of creating everything with the Father. It’s like the father said, “Let there be light and Jesus flipped the switch.”

Jesus came to earth to die on the cross to pay for our sins. We will talk more about that in the video the GOSPEL and Why Jesus Had to Die.
He came down through the power of the Holy Spirit was conceived in the virgin Mary. Now, this is huge because he had to come from a human, Mary, so that he could be Human but His father couldn’t be human because He also had to be God. This didn’t make Jesus a Demi-God like Maui from Moana But he was actually 100% God and 100% man!

But this is Jesus. The God-Man. The Sacrifice for our sins. The reason we can go to heaven. He is The Father’s love for us in a way we could see it.
